We believe in The Apostles Creed that states, "I believe in God, the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth. And in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day He rose again from the dead. He ascended into heaven and sits at the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Church Universal, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting."
What About God?
We believe in the Holy Trinity. The Holy Trinity is the belief that there is there is One God, who comes in three persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. God the Father- The creator and sustainer of all things. God the Son- The incarnation of God as a human being, Jesus Christ, on Earth. God the Holy Spirit- The power of God, which is active in the world, drawing people towards God.
What About Salvation?
We believe that salvation is freely offered to all who place their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Salvation is a gracious work of God, through which sinners are forgiven, restored, and welcomed as children of God by trusting in and following Jesus.
What About The Church?
We believe the Church to be the Body of Christ, comprised of all who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ throughout all generations. The Church exists to glorify God by loving Him fully and by making His name and truth known to the world.
What About Communion?
We believe that Communion, also known as the Lord’s Supper, is a symbolic act of obedience. Through the receiving of the bread, which represents the body of Jesus Christ, and the cup, which represents His blood, believers remember, celebrate, and give thanks for the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ. We observe Communion on the first Sunday of each month.
What About The Scriptures?
We believe that the Holy Bible was written by human authors under the divine inspiration of God and serves as the authoritative record of God’s revelation of Himself to humanity. Scripture is a perfect treasure of divine instruction and stands as the supreme standard by which all human conduct, beliefs, and teachings are judged.
What About Man?
We believe that humanity was created in the image of God as the crowning work of His creation. Though originally created without sin, humanity freely chose to disobey God, resulting in the entrance of sin into the world and its effect upon the entire human race. Restoration of fellowship with God is possible only through His grace.
What About Baptism?
We believe that Christian baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Baptism symbolizes the believer’s faith in the risen Savior and their death to sin and new life in Christ. We affirm that baptism follows a person’s profession of faith and commitment to trust and follow Jesus Christ.
What About End Times?
We believe that God will bring the world to its appointed end according to His perfect will and timing. Jesus Christ will return personally and visibly in glory. At His return, the dead will be raised and all people will stand before Christ in judgment. Through faith in Jesus Christ, the righteous will receive resurrected and glorified bodies, be granted their eternal reward, and dwell forever with the Lord in the new heavens and the new earth.
Overall, we believe that the Bible is the sole authority that dictates every aspect of the church including teaching, worship, and other aspects of life, with scripture shaping our beliefs.
